Dr. Riham Ammar, a Specialist Pediatrician, has almost 30 Years of experience in Pediatrics; she received her M.B.B.CH. In Medicine & Surgery in 1991, and M.Sc. in Pediatric Medicine in 1995 from Ain Shams University, Faculty of Medicine, Cairo, Egypt.
She has worked in many governments & private leading multispecialty hospitals & medical centers in Geneva (Switzerland), Cairo ( Egypt), Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), and Dubai (UAE).
She is a member of The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the Swiss Society of Pediatrics (SSP), Emirates Medical Association, the Emirates Pediatric Society, and the Dubai Pediatric Club.
She was also a Member of the Child Health & Nutrition expert Panel in NESTLE Company.
During her years of Pediatric practice, she has been managing, supervising & following up acute & chronic general pediatric illnesses, with an emphasis on Pediatric Asthma & Allergy, as well as Pediatric Nutrition, Growth & Development.
Currently, Dr. Riham is undertaking certification of Early Nutrition Specialist from Ludwig – Maximillian’s University Munich, Germany.
Dr. Ammar has worked in Dubai for the past 19 years: she established and headed the Pediatric as well as the Neonatal Departments in Cedars – Jebel Ali International Hospital for 7 years, then extended her scope of practice by managing the Pediatric Clinic in Medwin Medical Center in Jumeirah, Mediclinic group clinics in Ibn Battuta, Sufouh and Dubai Mall.
She then held the position of both Medical Director as well as Specialist Pediatrician in Al Das Medical Clinic – Palm Jumeirah and participated in its establishment.
Currently holding the position of Specialist Pediatrician in Al Das Medical Clinic since its opening in 2013. Dr. Ammar is committed to providing quality and comprehensive pediatric medical services in an efficient, compassionate, and personalized manner. She is an advocate of the prevention of children’s health injuries and illnesses through fitness and healthy lifestyle advice together with preventive medicine practices.
