Dr. Wasfy has more than 30 years of medical experience, focused on Pediatrics. He graduated from the Ain Shams Faculty of Medicine (Egypt) in 1978. In 1991 he became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in the United Kingdom. Dr. Wasfy completed his Doctorate in Medicine at Benha University (Egypt) in 1994. Subsequently, he became a fellow of the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health (UK) in 1997, and a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 2000. Also, Dr. Wasfy completed his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Wales, UK.
In the UK he handled the neonatal units of Borders General Hospital and the Eastbourne District General Hospital for 8 years. In 2004 Dr. Wasfy moved to the UAE and joined a large government hospital as a Consultant Pediatrician and Head of the Pediatrics Department. From 2011 he was the Associate Director of the Pediatric unit at a primary referral hospital in Abu Dhabi.
Dr. Wasfy has been invited as a speaker in many key medical conferences; he has been teaching medicine to both undergraduate and graduate students; he has written many papers on pediatrics which have been published in renowned medical journals. He is a vital part of the UAE Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians (MRCPCH).
